Web Presence is becoming increasingly important for any size of business, particularly the Small and Medium ones. A Website is a first step for an Online Presence.
It is as important, if not more, as having a Phone number. It does exactly the same, but on a much wider scale. Like a phone number, it gives another platform for your existing and prospective customers to find out more about you, much more.
Say you have a name and a number of a recently opened Fast Food Shop (with home delivery). Will you order something on your first call ? What are the chances that you may even call them ? (other than Word of mouth recommendations). The shop owner may have to read out his menu every time a new customer calls him. You may say a better option would be to advertise using inserts in newspapers. An insert can contain full menu with prices,location, etc.
